Mr. T. Canterbury, Principal

From Our Principal

Welcome to DuPont Middle School!

Our dedicated staff works very hard to meet the individual needs of all students, and maintain personal connections with their families. We invite you to become an active participant in our school community through volunteering, joining our LSIC and booster groups, or attending and supporting school events. Research shows that when parents/guardians participate and are involved in their child's education, there is a greater likelihood of academic success for the child. Together, we will continue to improve the quality of our school community and provide the best for the students of DPMS. All children are more successful when we work as a team to achieve educational goals.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

From Our Counselor

DuPont Middle School offers a comprehensive counseling program. The DuPont Middle School (DPMS) Counseling Department believes that all students should be treated with dignity and respect in a safe school environment.

The counselor's role is to provide support and advocate for every student to maximize their social/emotional potential and academic/career achievement. The responsibility for each student's overall well being is a collaborative effort shared by the student, parents/guardians, educators, school administrators/support staff, and community members.

The DPMS Counseling Program will assist in maintaining a positive school climate that promotes and supports the academic achievement, personal and social development, and career planning of each student.

The DPMS Counseling Office's mission is to provide and manage the delivery of a data driven program that is comprehensive, preventative, and developmental in nature that aligns with the American School Counseling Association's National Model.

The counselor will collaborate with staff, students, parents, and community members to provide an environment that is conducive to students becoming effective, responsible and productive citizens.
